The COVID-19 pandemic has focussed national attention on a topic that Tamara Daly, a professor of Health Policy in York’s Faculty of Health, has been studying for years – how to provide decent care for the elderly in longterm care facilities, and learn from international experience.

Daly, who is director of York’s Centre for Aging Research and Education (YU-CARE), spoke to Nana aba Duncan of CBC’s Fresh Air recently, about the link between good care for residents, and decent pay and working conditions for the people who care for them. Listen here.
